The other side of the InfoFi narrative: Their honey, your poison.

In April 2023, I joined CT (Crypto Twitter) with a group of friends.

At that time, we were all writing airdrop strategies, spending 1-2 hours writing a tweet, easily gaining 100,000 views within 12 hours. We did this every day: waking up, writing tweets, posting, eating, sleeping, and repeating the cycle.

I think during that time, our small group of content creators probably accounted for about 10% of the entire CT's attention. Looking back now, it was truly a golden era.

Personally, I receive 1-2 partnership invitations every month from parties who want to promote their events. But what matters at that time is not the money, but the influence.

One day I woke up and found that a tweet from my account with only 10,000 followers had actually received 400,000 views. My thoughts at the time were: "Is this real? I can hardly believe it."

Seeing so many views and likes brings me joy that is 100 times greater than the number in my wallet (it was only four digits at the time, but money is money, and this is the first time I've earned so much in my life).

This situation continued until September 2023, when the algorithm underwent some changes. Meanwhile, I faded out of CT until December 2023. If you're curious about the reason, it's because I had some interesting things to deal with in real life, so I posted a maximum of three tweets per month.

In about August 2023, I realized that the airdrop field was not a long-term solution and was not suitable for me. I thought... I wanted to become a DeFi novice.

Look at all the creators who are doing airdrop content now, where are they? I can't see them at all in the information feed, like ardizor, CC2, etc.

December 2023, this is a new chapter in my CT career. A new writing style, more dedicated involvement, new illustrations, more connections, but fewer views.

You may wonder, has the view count really decreased? Yes, it has decreased.

I started putting in a lot more effort than before, but the tweets only have 20,000 views. Well, sometimes it can reach 100,000, but it's not as bad as it is now.

You ask what the situation is now?

Due to the popularity of the InfoFi narrative (mainly because of Kaito), people are posting low-quality content. The overall quality of content has significantly declined, with 99% of people posting because "the X protocol allocates 5% of tokens to the yappers, I need to yap a bit more."

The more rewards allocated to the yapper, the worse the situation becomes.

What else?

I feel that the quality of my content has reached an all-time high, and the effort I'm putting in is also increasing simultaneously, but the views and the number of new followers have dropped to an all-time low.

My entire information feed is filled with worthless content from the Kaito leaderboard.

What should we do?

Perhaps during the market's quiet times, we can discuss various protocols on Kaito, strive to provide valuable content, enhance the quality of the content as much as possible, and make it unique.

Wishing all content creators good luck. This path is becoming increasingly difficult, and only the strongest can survive and thrive. Stay focused and patient, whether in CT or in life. One day, you will be rewarded.
