Ripple CEO will testify at the U.S. Senate Banking Committee hearing.
According to Mars Finance, Ripple CEO Brad Garlinghouse announced that he will testify on Wednesday, July 9, at a hearing held by the U.S. Senate Banking Committee titled "From Wall Street to Web3: Building the Future of the Digital Asset Market." The hearing will be streamed online and is a key part of the Senate Digital Assets Subcommittee's push for the legislative process of the GEN Stablecoin Act and the CLARITY Market Structure Act, aimed at clarifying the regulatory division between the SEC and CFTC. Garlinghouse emphasized on social media that it is crucial for the U.S. to establish constructive cryptocurrency market structure legislation to unlock a new era of innovation and financial opportunities while protecting consumers.
