Elon Musk Continues to 'Troll' Mr. Trump
Elon Musk continues to shock the political scene in America by publicly attacking President Donald Trump for not having anyone prosecuted in the sexual scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein. In a post on platform X on the morning of July 7 ( America), Elon Musk - who was once a close ally but has now become a political rival of Trump - posted a satirical image titled "The Count of People Arrested in the Epstein Case" with the number "0000". "What time is it now? Oh, it's the time when no one gets caught again..." Musk wrote sarcastically. This comment was made after Musk responded to another post criticizing the Trump administration for publicly promising an "Epstein list" but then denying the existence of any such list. "This is the last straw," Musk commented. Musk's move comes shortly after Axios revealed an internal memo from the Department of Justice (DOJ) and the FBI. This two-page document states that there is no evidence that Epstein - a convicted sex offender - blackmailed powerful figures or held a "client list" as many conspiracy theories have long claimed. The memo also supports the previous conclusion that Epstein died by suicide in the Manhattan jail in 2019, and there is no basis to believe that he was murdered. More importantly, the DOJ has no plans to prosecute anyone else related to the case. This information has sparked a strong wave of reactions from the public, especially from those who believe that the Epstein case still has many hidden complexities. In a noteworthy development from last month, Elon Musk once declared on X that: "Trump is listed in the Epstein records. That's the real reason the documents were never made public." Immediately after that, he asserted: "Mark this post. The truth will eventually be revealed." Musk's veiled accusations came just minutes after Trump threatened to cancel government contracts with businesses belonging to one of the biggest donors to his 2024 campaign. Notably, before being elected in 2016, Trump stated that he "had no problem" with publicly releasing documents related to Epstein. However, last year, he completely denied any connections, writing on social media: "I have never been on Epstein's plane or gone to that 'stupid' island. We must enact strict laws on artificial intelligence – because it will be a very big and dangerous issue in the future!" A day before Elon Musk's sarcastic post, Trump also posted a long message criticizing Musk for calling for the establishment of a third political party. "I am truly disappointed to witness Elon Musk increasingly 'derailing', becoming a wrecked train over the past 5 weeks," Trump wrote. "He even wants to establish a third party, although history shows that this model has never succeeded in America. The current system is not designed for that," he added. "The only thing that third parties are good at is creating COMPLETE CHAOS AND CONFUSION, and we have had quite enough of that from the Progressive Democratic Party, who have lost both confidence and common sense!". The Hill also reported that it had contacted the White House to request a comment on Musk's statement.
