Editor’s Note: Since Hyperliquid launched HyperEVM, its ecosystem has been rapidly expanding, with projects in DeFi, GameFi, and more emerging one after another. SMooTH has reviewed the GameFi and SocialFi projects in Hyperliquid that are still in the early stages and has classified them based on factors such as project development progress, influence, and product quality. Odaily will provide additional information about these early projects in this article for readers' reference.
A-Class GameFi Project
These projects demonstrate real potential; they may still be in the early stages or lack a feature or two, but the vision for the projects is already present, and their execution is equally impressive. If they further improve (or build up a player base), they can develop rapidly.
808 FLIP: An NFT-based coin flipping game with profit sharing.
808 FLIP allows users to play a coin toss game on-chain, where players can bet any amount of HYPE on either heads or tails each time, and then click "Flip" to see the result. At the same time, holding the official NFT earns profit-sharing. On July 3, the project completed its second round of profit distribution. The game combines classic guessing mechanics with Web3 incentive mechanisms, providing simple gameplay and platform profit-sharing. However, the following regions are not allowed to play on 808 Flip: Australia, Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao, France, Netherlands, Saba, Spain, St. Maarten, United Kingdom, United States.
808 Flip has also launched a points and rebate system, where referrers can earn 10% of points and transaction fees from their friends.
Genesy: A P2E strategy game built around optimizing chips.
Genesy is a P2E strategy game on the Hyperliquid platform where players can upgrade and optimize their "Genesy chips" to increase the production rate of GENESY tokens. This "chip" consists of 9 customizable components. Therefore, the project can be simply understood as an "on-chain mining machine project"; when GENESY tokens are profitable, players are motivated to continuously upgrade their "chips". However, it is still in the early stages, and the chip upgrade feature is not yet available.
30% of the Genesy token will be produced by players, 7% belongs to the development fund, 7% is allocated to strategic partners, 10% is reserved, 10% is distributed to the team, and 36% is used for ecosystem growth.
Kittykingdom: An on-chain PvP adventure game using hero NFTs
Kittykingdom is a fully on-chain battle adventure game built on Hyperliquid, featuring elements such as quests, PVP and PVE, and pets. Currently, there are a total of 20,000 hero NFTs in the game, each priced at $100, and players can only start the game by purchasing a hero. The official team will use 50% of the funds from selling heroes to buy back KITTY tokens, 20% for game development, 10% as game rewards, 10% for airdrops, and 10% as referral rewards. However, as of now, only 59 NFTs have been sold.
KITTY is the governance token of the game, with a total supply of 100 million tokens. The team retains 20%, and the remaining 80% was fairly launched through hypurr.fun, winning the Hyperliquid spot auction on April 14, 2025. Gold is the utility token in the game, generated entirely through PVP games, with a total supply of 1 billion tokens.
The economic cycle of the game is as follows:
B-Class GameFi Projects
These projects are either not officially launched yet or are in a development dilemma. However, if they can complete Beta testing, they also have good potential.
Yolo.ex: A sci-fi adventure game combined with real DeFi trading
Yolo.ex integrates game storylines with trading strategies in a futuristic world, where players make real on-chain transactions in a 3D game, and their trading decisions will affect the plot development. The game is built on Hyperliquid and has been launched in early access on Epic Games.
Vegas: A crypto poker platform with no house rake.
Vegas is a decentralized poker game running on Hyperliquid, currently in beta testing phase. It supports tournaments and sports betting, characterized by real stakes, fair competition, and on-chain transparency. According to the official announcement, the game will have its first test on July 11 and July 12.
But Vegas does not use HYPE or stablecoins as betting funds, but rather its platform token VEGAS. This token has been launched on the Hyperliquid spot market, with a market value of 4.86 million dollars.
Moon: Galaxy Exploration Game (Not Yet Launched)
Horsy.games: A combination of NFT horse racing and on-chain DeFi
Horsy.games is an on-chain horse racing game where players can buy, sell, and race NFT horses. It successfully combines betting, staking, and trading features through a liquidity pool of HORSY tokens and USDC, similar to Zed Run, but the difference is that Horsy.games is HyperLiquid native.
The HORSY token was launched on HyperEVM on June 25, with a current market value of $983,000 according to Dexscreener data.
Chain Tactics: A 1v1 strategy game similar to chess.
Chain Tactics integrates tactical role-playing game elements with chess-style combat in a 1v1 format. The game is developed by Sovrun (formerly BreederDAO) and is said to still be in production (a recent post on platform X was released on February 5, 2025).
SocialFi Projects on HyperLiquid (Level B)
These applications are attempting to attract users, incentivize engagement, and build community infrastructure in new ways. Although it is still in its early stages, creativity is continuously emerging.
HyperRaid: Raid-to-earn mode
HyperRaid rewards users for completing social and on-chain tasks for supported ecosystem projects, gamifying tasks, lotteries, and whitelist spots into a community-driven growth engine. Currently, there are 13 projects that have launched social tasks on HyperRaid.
Fan App: A creator-fan platform with inherent crypto nature.
The Fan App helps creators share research, alpha, and insights with the community. Community members access it through Creator Keys—this is a permissionless way to directly monetize valuable information on Hyperliquid.
Summary
Although HyperLiquid was born for trading, this has not stopped developers from being creative. From RPG games that integrate DeFi elements to creator monetization applications, this ecosystem has demonstrated a diversity that goes beyond market and analyst research.
Although most of these projects are still in their early stages, some have already gone live and are continuously growing. Nevertheless, this indicates that the significance of Hyperliquid goes far beyond just a perpetual contract liquidity pool.
