Gold Finance reported that the U.S. Senate confirmed Jamieson Greer as the U.S. Trade Representative with 56 votes in favor and 43 votes against on the 26th. Greer is a lawyer with a background in international trade law and served as Chief of Staff to Robert Lighthizer, the then U.S. Trade Representative, during the first term of the Trump administration.
