5月8日、連邦準備制度（FED）議長のパウエルは、関税がこれまで予想以上に大きいと述べた。発表されたように関税が大幅に引き上げられ続ければ、より高いインフレとより低い雇用が生じることになる。持続的なインフレを回避するためには、関税の規模、期間、インフレ期待に依存することになる。(Jin10)
