In the first four months of this year, Russia's natural gas exports to Europe via pipeline decreased by 44% year-on-year.

Jin10 Data, May 5, reported that on Monday, Reuters calculated that the Russian energy giant Gazprom's pipeline gas exports to Europe from January to April fell by 44% compared to the same period last year. The calculation shows that in the first four months of this year, Russia's pipeline gas exports to the region decreased from 10.2 billion cubic meters in the same period of 2024 to 5.7 billion cubic meters. Turkey is now the only transit route for Russian gas to Europe, as Ukraine chose not to extend its five-year transit protocol with Moscow, which expired on January 1, leading to the closure of the transit corridor.
