I congratulated President Trump and all the American people on Independence Day. We Ukrainians are grateful for all the support provided by the U.S. This helps us protect lives and uphold our freedom and independence. We have achieved a lot together with the U.S., and we support all efforts to stop the killing and restore a just, lasting, and dignified peace. We need a noble peace agreement. Today we discussed the current situation, including Russian airstrikes and new developments on the broader front. President Trump is well informed, and I appreciate his attention to Ukrainian issues. We talked about opportunities in air defense and agreed that we will work together to strengthen the protection of our airspace. We also agreed to hold a meeting between our teams. We had a detailed discussion on defense industrial capabilities and joint production. We are ready to engage in direct projects with the U.S. and believe this is crucial for security, especially regarding drones and related technology. We also discussed mutual procurement and investment. Finally, we exchanged views on the diplomatic situation and our joint work with the U.S. and other partners."
