The founder and promoter of OmegaPro has been sued for a $650 million forex and Crypto Assets eyeglass.
CoinVoice has learned that, according to the U.S. Department of Justice, the founder of OmegaPro, Michael Shannon Sims, and promoter Juan Carlos Reynoso have been accused of operating and promoting an international investment scheme that defrauded investors of over $650 million through false promises of high returns.
Matthew R. Galeotti, head of the Criminal Division of the U.S. Department of Justice, stated that the defendants exploited vulnerable individuals to commit fraud, obtaining over $65 million while claiming their funds were secure. U.S. Attorney W. Stephen Muldrow indicated that they are committed to dismantling international financial schemes targeting American victims and recovering illegal profits through criminal prosecution and asset forfeiture. Joe Perez, assistant director of the FBI's Criminal Investigation Division, stated that the FBI will not tolerate fraud against the American public.
IRS Criminal Investigation Chief Guy Ficco stated that OmegaPro promised financial freedom but brought financial devastation, stealing over $650 million from ordinary people and transferring it into virtual currency.
