Volkswagen ADMT will use real-time map data from Bee Maps, a service built on the Hivemapper network running on the Solana platform. The data is collected from a "Bee" camera mounted on the vehicle, and then converted into dynamic maps using AI.

Data-contributing drivers will receive HONEY tokens, helping Hivemapper to own the "latest map in the world." Bee Maps will support Volkswagen's ID.Buzz robotaxi fleet to operate more efficiently in Hamburg and Los Angeles, aiming for driverless operation by the end of 2026.
