US CPI Outlook: Inflation Momentum Will Rebound

Jin10 Data, July 15 - According to foreign media reports, after the unexpected drop in May's inflation data, inflation is expected to rebound in June. Both the overall inflation rate and core inflation rate are expected to rise significantly, which may challenge the anti-inflation progress made in the first quarter of 2025. The market generally believes that the overall CPI in June will rise by 2.7% year-on-year, higher than May's 2.4%, and will increase by 0.3% month-on-month, which is a noticeable acceleration compared to May's 0.1% rise. The core inflation rate is expected to be 3.0% year-on-year and 0.3% month-on-month, higher than May's 2.8% and 0.1%.
