The SEC has terminated its investigation into PayPal's stablecoin PYUSD and has not taken enforcement action.

According to the Gate.io News bot, Cryptonews reports that the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has concluded its investigation into PayPal stablecoin PYUSD and has not taken any enforcement action.

According to documents disclosed by PayPal on Tuesday, the SEC's enforcement division notified the termination of the investigation in February 2025, after issuing a document subpoena in November 2023.

PayPal mentioned in the document that the regulatory environment is continuously changing, and future legislation poses costs and risks to stablecoin issuers and their partners. If PYUSD is involved in illegal transactions, its issuer partners will face legal disputes.
