Abstract generation in progress

On July 7, according to The Fintech Times, Spain's second-largest bank BBVA has launched Bitcoin and Ethereum trading and custody services for retail customers through its mobile application, further expanding its regulated digital asset services in Europe. This service went live after submitting regulatory filings to the Spanish National Securities Market Commission (CNMV) in March 2025 and is now available to all customers of legal age. The service allows customers to buy, sell, and hold encryption assets within BBVA's existing digital bank environment. BBVA has fully integrated the service into its own application, without relying on any third-party platforms or custody institutions. Customers can initiate transactions independently, and the bank does not provide investment advice.
