Solana DePIN track revenue hits a new high, multiple projects perform excellently

In April 2025, the Solana ecosystem's DePIN track achieved its best performance of the year. Monthly total revenue reached $458,000, a year-on-year increase of 33%, setting a new high for the year. This achievement is mainly attributed to the stable development of projects such as Helium, Render, Hivemapper, and XNET.

Although revenue has reached a new high, the number of active contributors to the DePIN protocol has slightly decreased. The total number of active contributors to major projects such as Helium, Hivemapper, Nosana, Render, Sallar, Sourceful, and XNET remains at around 87,000.

It is worth noting that the number of contributors to small DePIN protocols significantly increased in April, with Nosana's growth rate exceeding 100%. In contrast, the number of contributors to larger protocols such as Helium and Hivemapper remained stable or declined slightly.

The following are the specific performances of some major DePIN projects:

Dabba Network

Dabba Network is a DePIN project in the Solana ecosystem aimed at the Indian market. By collaborating with local cable operators, it deploys Wi-Fi hotspots across India to provide users with high-speed, low-cost internet services. From March to April, the cumulative data consumption of Dabba Network doubled, reaching 8000 TB. During the same period, device sales increased by 29%, further expanding the network scale.

Helium Mobile

As a mobile virtual network operator under the Helium network, Helium Mobile combines community-deployed Wi-Fi hotspots and cellular base stations from partner operators to provide users with low-cost mobile data and voice services. After opening free mobile plans to all users, Helium Mobile's new subscriber growth surged by 125%, reaching 36,000 and setting a historical high.

In April, Helium Mobile's revenue also set a new record, reaching $250,000. The monthly revenue measured by data points burned increased by 34%, with data offloading accounting for as much as 79%. In addition, Helium Mobile's average daily offloading subscription volume rose by 65%, and the offloaded data volume increased by 32%, both setting historical records.

It is worth mentioning that since 2025, the overall number of active contributors to Helium has shown a slight downward trend and is currently stabilizing at around 75,000.
