The United States and its allies have set the end of August as the deadline for reaching a nuclear agreement with Iran.

[The U.S. and its allies have set the end of August as the deadline for reaching a nuclear agreement with Iran] According to AXIOS, three informed sources revealed that U.S. Secretary of State Rubio spoke with the foreign ministers of France, Germany, and the UK yesterday, deciding that the end of August will be the actual deadline for reaching a nuclear agreement with Iran. If an agreement cannot be reached before the deadline, the three European powers plan to initiate the "snapback" mechanism, which will automatically reimpose all sanctions lifted by the UN Security Council under the 2015 Iran agreement. Initiating the "snapback" mechanism requires 30 days, and Europe hopes to complete this process before Russia assumes the rotating presidency of the UN Security Council in October.
