Are Hackers Collecting Pepe Coin? $4 Million Purchase from 5 Wallets! - Coin Newsletter
5 wallets that withdrew Ethereum from cryptocurrency mixer Tornado Cash bought a total of 611 billion PEPE in a short period of time.
According to data shared by on-chain analytics platform Lookonchain, there has been a large-scale and remarkable investment in the PEPE token. In the last 8 hours, a total of $4.28 million was purchased through five different wallets.
What the buying wallets have in common is that they withdrew Ethereum from the Tornado Cash platform about 15 days ago. This raises the possibility that the addresses in question may be linked to a hacking incident. The purchase of PEPE by these wallets, each of which has an anonymous structure, brought to mind the question of "Are tokens bought with hacking revenues?".
The fact that addresses that use privacy-focused platforms such as Tornado Cash to confuse traces are turning to PEPE is being carefully watched in terms of both price action and regulation.
