Apple plans to adjust its product release schedule next year and launch its first foldable screen iPhone.
On May 4th, The Information reported that Apple (AAPL.O) plans to adjust the release rhythm of its iPhone next year to cope with an increasingly large product line. Apple's first foldable iPhone is expected to be launched in the fall of 2026 alongside the iPhone 18 Pro series and the "Air" series models. Meanwhile, the standard version of the iPhone 18 will be postponed until the spring of 2027, to be released alongside the successor models of the iPhone 16e. Apple's current product line has expanded to six iPhone models, and with the addition of foldable models, the company needs to replan the product release schedule to ensure more efficient management and marketing of the product line. Apple's first foldable iPhone will adopt a book-like folding form rather than a clamshell design, with a screen size of 5.7 inches when folded, and nearly 8 inches when unfolded.
