WSJ Targets Binance Founder CZ Again! Claimed to Work for Trump! CZ's Response Came Quickly!
Binance founder Changpeng Zhao (CZ), who is trying to fight against WSJ's news, again shared a post against a false WSJ report.
According to this, the WSJ claimed that CZ acted as an intermediary for US President Donald Trump-backed crypto project World Liberty Financial (WLFI).
WSJ reported that WLFI co-founder Steve Witkoff, a former Trump administration Middle East representative, claimed that his son Zach supported WLFI in the region and that CZ facilitated the business.
CZ rejected these claims from the WSJ, arguing that the WSJ is acting in bad faith and that this is not journalism.
CZ stated that the WSJ recently sent him some questions, but he indicated that their questions were based on prejudiced assumptions and factual inaccuracies, claiming that they did not report the facts.
CZ said that the WSJ asked him "Are you establishing the overseas connections for the Trump-backed project WLFI?".
CZ stated that they asked many questions like this and told them that there is "a lot of misinformation and unfounded assumptions."
CZ, who stated that he did not answer these questions and denied the allegations, nevertheless said that the WSJ did not report the facts, but rather published news in line with its own malicious implications, "the person who helped facilitate some promotions for World Liberty's overseas trips is Changpeng Zhao, the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance..."
CZ, who explains the facts, emphasized that he has no role in personal connections with the mentioned authorities, nor does he promote WLF.
"Another smear piece from the Wall Street Journal. Journalism shouldn't be done this way."
…..
Later, the WSJ published the following:
"The person who helps facilitate some promotions for World Liberty's overseas travels is the founder of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance, Changpeng Zhao..."
Truth:
I am not anyone's mediator. I did not introduce Mr. Saqib to the WLF team. They have known each other for a long time, and I met Mr. Saqib for the first time in Pakistan. I did not make any introductions for World Liberty's overseas trips.
WSJ is just a spokesperson. There are forces in the U.S. that want to hinder efforts to make the U.S. the crypto capital. They want to attack crypto, global crypto leaders, and pro-crypto governance.”
