The FED and Jerome Powell Ignored Donald Trump Again! Strong Statements Came from Trump! Here is Everything You Need to Know...
Bitcoin (BTC) and altcoins are expected to see a new rally triggered by the FED resuming the paused interest rate rebates.
However, despite the positive economic data, the FED has kept interest rates stable since January due to the uncertainty created by tariffs.
While the FED remains determined to keep interest rates steady until it provides more clarity, U.S. President Donald Trump is frequently pressuring the FED and Chairman Jerome Powell to cut rates.
Even Trump wants Powell to resign from the position of FED chairman.
At this point, Trump called for a rate cut from the FED even before the FED's decision announced yesterday for June. However, the FED again ignored Trump and kept the rates unchanged.
Trump, who was thoroughly enraged by this situation, criticized Powell harshly in a post made on his Truth Social account, calling for his resignation due to yesterday's decision.
Donald Trump criticized Jerome Powell on Truth Social, stating:
He also shared an article calling for Powell to resign from the country's largest mortgage lending institutions, Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Trump argues that interest rate cuts should begin by stating that economic data is now good, and he has repeatedly called for rate cuts to Powell.
However, while ignoring these, Trump claims that Powell's reluctance to lower interest rates has harmed the economy.
In contrast, Powell reiterated in yesterday's statement the central bank's cautious stance on future interest rate cuts. As a rationale for the decision to keep rates unchanged, he pointed to expectations of rising inflation due to Trump's trade tariffs.
