Telegram's Pavel Durov has been temporarily approved to leave France.
The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, has just been granted permission by a French court to leave the country for 14 days to go to Dubai, where the company is headquartered. Previously, he had been denied permission to travel to attend an event in Norway. In March and April, Durov was also allowed to temporarily leave France.
Durov's travel restrictions have attracted attention from free speech advocacy organizations and the cryptocurrency community, viewing this as a sign of the state of personal freedom in Europe.
In a recent interview, Durov strongly criticized the administration of President Emmanuel Macron, claiming that excessive censorship and regulation policies are weakening France and driving talent away. He warned that if reforms are not implemented soon, French society risks collapse and the damage could take decades to rectify.
