Jin10 data July 12, according to AXIOS website reports, sources say Russian President Putin told Trump and Iranian officials that he supports the idea of a nuclear protocol with zero enrichment uranium for Iran and urged Iran to reach a "zero enrichment" nuclear protocol with the United States. He encouraged Iran to work towards this goal in order to make negotiations with the U.S. more favorable. However, a European official with direct knowledge of the matter stated that Iran said they would not consider this. For many years, Russia has been a key diplomatic supporter of Iran on nuclear issues. However, while Moscow publicly supports Iran's right to enrich uranium, Putin has privately taken a tougher stance following the 12-day war between Israel and Iran. During and after the 12-day war, Iran was disappointed that Russia did not provide them with any significant support beyond media statements. The Russian side has made it clear both publicly and privately that they are willing to remove Iran's highly enriched uranium if an agreement is reached.
