SEC Gives Companies Deadline to Apply for Spot Bitcoin ETFs - Koin Bulletin

The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) wants applications for a spot Bitcoin ETF to be updated by the end of this week.

According to Reuters, the SEC met with at least seven of the companies that applied for ETFs last week and asked some of them to update their applications before the end of the year.

According to statements made by company executives, the SEC has given them until December 29. Issuers that fail to meet this deadline will not be able to concurrently** approval** with others.

The SEC will make a final decision on the ETF application filed jointly by ARK and 21Shares on January 10.

Two company executives who met with the SEC said the agency has signaled that it may **approve ETF applications in early 2024."
