World Liberty Financial establishes a token reserve fund to enhance the stability of Bitcoin and the platform
World Liberty Financial, an organization strongly supported by President Donald Trump, has just announced plans to establish a strategic token reserve fund to "support leading projects such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, and other pioneering cryptocurrencies in reshaping the global financial system". As announced on X, the newly established reserve fund of the DeFi platform, named Macro Strategy, will also help World Liberty Financial diversify holdings and minimize risks. “Macro Strategy will play a vital role as a solid financial backbone for WLFI,” the post said. Last week, World Liberty Financial co-founder Chase Herro revealed plans to establish this reserve fund. However, the latest announcement did not provide detailed information on the source of funding. The project said they are actively collaborating with financial institutions to seek partners who can contribute encrypted assets to the new reserve fund. "The contributed assets will be stored in WLFI's public wallet, giving institutions transparent access to the crypto community," the DeFi platform said. Currently, WLFI holds about 38 million USD in various tokens, a sharp decrease of about 90% from the over 360 million USD they owned last week, after transferring most of their assets to exchanges. In addition, World Liberty Financial and Ondo Finance also announced a collaboration on Tuesday, with the aim of promoting the tokenization of real-world assets (RWA) and integrating traditional finance into blockchain, according to a post on the official blog.
