Cybertruck deployed for disaster relief, deploying Starlink free WiFi and snacks for the disaster area to enjoy
The California wildfires are still spreading, and rescue resources continue to pour in from all over. TSL CEO Elon Musk announced on X that the Cybertruck will be used as a mobile base station in the most needed areas in the Greater Los Angeles/Malibu area to provide free WiFi services to the public. In addition, snacks and drinks will also be provided to those in need.
California wildfires are still spreading
Multiple wildfires broke out in Los Angeles last week, burning nearly 8,900 hectares, or about half of Taipei City. According to the Los Angeles Fire Department, around 12,000 buildings have been destroyed, more than 100,000 people have been evacuated, about 450,000 people are without electricity, and 24 people have died. The death toll may still rise.
Donations from various parties have also been pouring into local relief organizations. The Giving Block, a non-profit organization dedicated to cryptocurrency emergency assistance, has also set up a cryptocurrency emergency relief fund for the affected households, with a target fundraising of 2 million US dollars to provide full assistance.

Starlink is mobile and can support emergency situations such as disaster relief at any time.
Starlink satellite network is composed of thousands of low-orbit satellites that continuously move over the earth to provide high-speed internet services globally. Satellites ensure that users can get stable network connections no matter where they are through interconnection and communication with ground stations. Currently, it has provided services to over 4 million people in more than 100 countries and regions.
At the end of last year, Ukraine's largest mobile operator, Kyivstar PJSC, signed an agreement with Starlink to launch a mobile satellite service, allowing the telecommunications infrastructure to stay out of the reach of Russian attacks.
Its mobility can quickly provide additional services in emergency situations. Previously reported, Musk also plans to launch the so-called direct-to-cell satellite services in Italy for use in emergencies such as terrorist attacks or natural disasters.

Starlink also provides free internet connection in areas affected by hurricanes in the United States, such as Hurricane Helen and Hurricane Milton.
