Oasys Releases Technology Roadmap for Chain Games, Focusing on Three Core Areas to Drive Industry Development
Oasys Releases Technical Roadmap, Focuses on Three Key Aspects of Chain Game Development
The Japanese gaming public chain Oasys has released an important technical roadmap on the occasion of its second anniversary, providing a new direction for the development of blockchain games. This roadmap focuses on three core areas: application data availability, layer two interoperability, and ecosystem scalability, aiming to address the technical challenges faced by the current development of blockchain games.
The blockchain gaming industry is currently in a rapid development stage. Data shows that the total financing for blockchain games reached $280 million in the first quarter of 2024, and a staggering $2.98 billion for the entire year of 2023. As a representative of the blockchain gaming boom, Oasys has currently partnered with several major players in the gaming industry, and its ecosystem includes nearly 60 games.
Oasys has proposed corresponding solutions to the three major technical challenges in the development of blockchain games:
Continuity of game assets: Ensure the permanent protection of user assets by mirroring game assets from the layer two network to the layer one network.
Interoperability of Layer 2 Networks: Introduce cross-chain bridges, adopt universal data formats, and standardize APIs to achieve seamless interoperability between different Layer 2 networks.
Ecosystem Scalability: Work closely with partners to provide the necessary tools and resources to support ecosystem development and reduce technical barriers.
Oasys's technology roadmap is divided into two phases: short-term (within 1 year) and mid-term (2-3 years).
The short-term plan includes:
The mid-term plan includes:
Oasys has made progress in practical applications. Recently, the popular game from the South Korean company Com2uS will be launched on Oasys's L2 chain XPLA Verse. Additionally, a blockchain game based on "Captain Tsubasa" has also been released on the Oasys platform.
In terms of expanding its ecosystem, Oasys has partnered with Japan's SBI Group to enhance its influence in the Japanese crypto gaming and NFT market. Previously, Oasys also collaborated with South Korean internet giant Kakao's Web3 gaming division Metabora SG to support its entry into the Japanese market.
Through this series of initiatives, Oasys demonstrates its technological innovation capabilities and strategic vision in the blockchain gaming sector, while also showcasing its determination to collaborate with industry giants to promote the development of blockchain games. With the gradual implementation of its technological roadmap, Oasys is steadily advancing towards the goal of establishing global standards for blockchain gaming, creating value for both players and developers, and bringing new experiences and opportunities to the gaming industry.
